Vice President, Lending

Deborah Flannery (Deb) joined Evernorth as its Vice President of Lending in January 2021 with responsibility for formalizing and expanding Evernorth’s lending platform.  Deb brings over 25 years of professional experience in affordable housing including leadership roles in private sector consulting, state and local housing finance agencies, and most recently with a non-profit Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI). Prior to joining Evernorth, Deb served as a member of the senior leadership team with Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, a housing-focused non-profit CDFI, where she led loan fund capitalization and deployment, interagency initiatives to catalyze public policy and systems change, and new program research and development.  Deb previously held leadership roles with the Iowa Finance Authority and with the Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA) in Minnesota. She served on the board of the Minnesota Homeownership Center from 2017-2021 and is currently finishing her second term on the board of Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota.   

Deb holds a BA in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas, a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans, and has been certified as a Housing Finance Professional by the National Development Council. She also completed an executive leadership certificate program at the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business in the fall of 2015.  Outside of work, Deb enjoys spending time with family, running, and exploring the great Vermont outdoors.
