[Springfield, MA] – Evernorth Rural Ventures, a subsidiary of Evernorth, is pleased to announce the closing of $14.3 million in New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation to create a larger, new state-of-the-art facility for Square One, a nonprofit early childhood education and care provider. The NMTC supports the construction of a new building dedicated to early learning classrooms and workforce development programming for families.
We are excited to share that construction is underway to convert the historic Roosevelt School in Keene, New Hampshire, into 30 new affordable homes. These homes are one step forward in addressing Keene’s housing shortage.

[Burlington, VT] COTS and Evernorth were joined by Senator Peter Welch, residents, funders, and community members on Monday to cut the ribbon on Main Street Family Housing, 16 permanently affordable homes for families formerly living in emergency shelters or motels.
Lewiston’s Tree Streets neighborhood in Maine received another boost with a $2.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This funding supports the first phase of the “Growing Our Tree Streets Transformation Plan,” which includes the renovation of Wedgewood Mansion and the construction of 82 new rental homes across nine buildings on Pine, Pierce, Bartlett, and Walnut streets.

[White River Junction, VT] Today, the White River Junction community celebrated the official grand opening of 42 new affordable apartments downtown with a ribbon cutting and an apartment tour. The apartments, named Riverwalk Apartments, were developed by DEW Braverman with an agreement to sell the building to Twin Pines Housing and Evernorth. The apartments will remain affordable forever.
Jocelyn Place officially opened its doors, creating 60 new affordable apartments for adults aged 55 and older. The apartments are ideally situated in Scarborough, Maine, close to healthcare providers, grocery stores, banks, restaurants, retail, and recreational opportunities along with various other services.
