Evernorth has invested in over 200 new affordable homes in Westbrook, Maine, all coming online this year.
In August 2024, Millbrook Estates opened its doors, creating 100 age-restricted apartments for residents 55 and older. This re-syndication project preserved the building’s original structure while fully modernizing the apartments to create safe, comfortable homes for its residents.
Next, Stroudwater Apartments opened in October 2024, adding 55 one-bedroom apartments for those 55 and up. At the ribbon cutting the energy efficient homes received recognition from both local and state representatives including Maine Congresswoman Chellie Pingree!
This winter, Symbol Apartments will add another 60 affordable homes for residents 55 and older of which seven will be ADA-accessible and three will be for hearing-impaired residents.
Congratulations to the partners in Westbrook for making these Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) homes a reality. Evernorth remains committed to long-term investments that strengthen communities.
